Small bore triple cap shocks leaking!!
Can someone help?
Can someone give me a step by step guide on how to build these correctly? I can't seem to build these without them leaking. I'm following all the instructions but a bead of oil seems to always start to leak from the top edge of the shock seal where it screws into the shock body. If you follow me. Also, yes the rubber seal is inplace. This is a picture of the big bores but the oil seems to come out of the top of the grove in the seal. (see picture) I thought I was putting too much oil in but they are still leaking. Thanks in advance Brett

Worn o-ring?
Have you tried using new ones? Follow this guide: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nnqX_siiosg |

Quote:
I tried my local bearing suppliers and they'd never seen anything like them, they're all in halves of a millimetre to force you to buy them from Kyosho This means if you bought the shocks used the previous owner might have replaced them with some that are the wrong size, replace them by part number and it should cure it. |

cheers bobbin,
do you think these are same/different to the 'northy whitees' i've got some northy ones, which do feel a lot softer than the kyosho orange ones? btw I found the Revolution ones last night but couldn't find a shop in the uk, so great thanks

Those orings are for the shock shaft.
Depending where the leak comes from, is it between the shaft and the cartridge, then those should do. If it is between the cartridge and body then not, you'll need a very different size... |

Yep, I've got Kyosho part w5181-05 medium o rings too.
So with these and some new shaft o rings and green slime, I should stop these beggers leaking.
