Default Weird thing

Raced the X-Pro on friday night at my local club, I have upgraded the rear pin holders to the alloy ones as I thought it would be a fit n forget part plus it would make it stronger!
Well I was wrong, as I tapped the barrier at fairly low speed and out pops the rear arm As far as I can tell there is no damage to the pin holders (only the inserts) and the pins still look straight

Has anyone else had this happen??
Also where can I buy the inserts from?

Mike, the only thing that broke was the shoulder part of the plastic ball insert on the alloy pin holder

Strange one this, would have thought the arm had snapped or the t-piece had. Did the t-piece flex to make it pop out? maybe beefing it up with a cf one would help. Thats what i have on my rat with the alu pin holders. Crashed, flipped and rolled everywhere during my early stages and not had any rear end damage

Yep defo strange......will strip the rear of the buggy down and take a closer look at the T bar.
The arm is OK as the pin was still inside both holes!
Looks like I'll have to upgrade to the CF T bar but which one? seeing as there are 2 out now

Thanks for your replies Mike

Cheers
Lee

one thought, check the arm for a crack, it will be barely visible. Stick the pin in each side and apply a little pressure. Similar thing happened to my blitz and had me really stumped. If its definately ok then the t-piece has flexed. Anyone with a 2wd that upgrades to alu pin holders needs to beef up that plate. The hardest part is knowing where to stop upgrading you can make strong parts weaker going down that route.

good luck
