Point taken, in future I will not try to get marshals out before the races start, that is normally the top ten.

I think she does a great job and agree that marshals need to be chased up. Think your comment isn't really fair.

I personally think that DLT did a good job chasing the marshalls up as it seems that some seem to forget the obligation to do it, as it happens in my final I crashed right were a marshall should have been which ended up costing me a lap.

Glad you had a good nights racing "Buggy" thats what we aim for.

With over 70 racers in 8 heats we only have 90secs between races, this means we have to push hard to get the marshalls out. So sometimes we talk over the computer.

Next time come over to race control for 10 mins and I think you will understand what is needed to stop us from over running to much.

Peter

I understand the issue, and as Peter said on auto there is very little time between races, and no time seems a good time to tannoy, so perhaps we don't chase at all and it will be up to the racers to get to their marshalling positions before the race starts.

Race control is a thankless job, but I think a great job is being done. Thanks
no race control, no racing...

Buggy, no coat needed. Maybe next time if anyone has a niggle, just let us know on the night if we can we'll do something about it. Instead of shouting out all marshals and numbers we'll let the marshals make sure they know where they should be and just call 'marshals', we could even start taking fastest lap of any marshals not in place when the race starts!

Sounds like a plan to me, it's always been a bug bear for me that people can't go straight out to Marshall. Isn't like you don't have enough time between heats to charge and tweak your car.

hey guys, enjoyed friday racing, car was goin well and my drivings getting better (not crashing as much) was good racing, although didnt have a great final, was leading till got wiped out but ohwell thats hard racing for you

one thing i did notice in heats tho was people dont start on there number, i remember once or twice a car set off with me when my number got called :S and there was no talking over numbers in my heat lol.

i also just looked at results of final and it says i didnt lead one lap, and i was in the lead in for the first 7laps :S looked at lap times and the first laps are normally long time, ie u do 1 and a half laps, but some cars hav 11sec laps on first lap ie the timing gear is picking it up too early, is there a way of delaying the start lap time or could move the cars farther round the track, just an idea

Mitch, the software is set to count from the first pass of the loop so 11 sec is about right, we used to have it set to ignore the first so that when you got a long first lap.

Not sure we can start any further back but we could ingore the first pass again.

Except from putting the cars in little traps like greyhound have we cant stop setting off on the wrong number.

Hi Mitch, we can work on people setting off incorrectly. everyone needs educating to the fact that you should set off in the order that they finished the previous heat in. As for the Minimum lap time that is set at 9 seconds. There is one setting that I have not tried yet and that is "Time from start to loop". I Might try that on a fun night to see what it does. Hope this helps you.
