Default Want to try Indoor Electric

Hi Chaps,

Thinking of giving indoor electric a go.
Currently i race nitro at Pendle and i'm a regular A finalist there.

What type of cars do you guys run 2wd or 4wd?
Was thinking of giving the Associated B4.1 or the B44.1 a go.
However my knowledge of ESC/motor combos is not good.
Was thinking along the lines of a Reedy Sonic brushless and the Team Associated XP SC450-BL Brushless ESC.
I have spare savox servos and a spektrum DX3R that i can use.

Any help appreciated, cheers.

Hello this is a really good club with a very good track lots of people use team associated b4s b44s I personally have a b44.1 with orca 7.5 t brushless system with xp servo and lipo saddles. I am just learning myself really but this is a very common setup which works very well with Schumacher yellow mini pins all-round, but there is all makes and models racing there I think it's all just what you like really. But as ae are so easy to get spares for that's handy for me lol hope this helps check it out

I have to agree with Rigaxe..... Very friendly club, there is the full range from beginners from 5 upwards to national drivers who turn up on a weekly basis... Eric and Pete do a great job of running the club

I run a b4.1 with the c4.1 conversion kit to mid motor... I am also getting a B44.1 for xmas

What i would say is if you DO not have a transponder just book online that you are coming and you require a transponder that they will happily reserve one for you

Thanks guys.

I do have a transponder but its embedded in the RC8.2 atm! but i will get another one for 10th scale if i think i'm going to stick to it.

Given that i drive 4wd nitro i think i might be more accustomed to the B44 to start with.

My son is also getting to an age where he wants to take part, so would like for him to have a go, just carnt trust him atm with full on nitro lol.

Well I drive an FS2, it's really nice to drive, if your going for a 2WD I would go 100% mid motor. The C4.1 and the Durango 210 would me my choice.
Behind the MCS but you can't buy them

But the mardaves are a good laugh too!

Motor/ESC wise get an SXX TC from JEspares they are £129.00 and will run anything you will ever need. Also I would get something like an LRP X12 motor
I use a 6.5t in my 2WD and 4WD.

In that case you need many many more parts in order to make it work!

- ESC
- Motor
- Saddles
- Wheels
- Box of beer or 3, Yes for the car....
- New real car to put it in....

(Never give me a card and tell me to go and buy things )

Tron.....

When I ran my b4 before I converted to a c4.1... I had to run the car very low... So much so I cut the rear silver springs down....but don't go to the that extent till you have come down to the club....

Best thing is come down , in the meantime I will try and get a set up sheet from Mark Smith who always comes first if not in the top 3... He races the nationals and he runs a b4.1 factory

There will always be plenty of help at the club regardless of level or age

There are now at least 2 C4.1 at Ribble Valley so you should be able to get some help off someone there.
