Imo you have been told those batteries arnt suitable to a 1400 motor, i think tekin recommends a 5-6s for it. I am running a 2050 in mine, would of prefered the 1900 but with a shipping mistake i ended up with a 2050.

Basically the car was designed for 4s, a 1400 running on 4s will be slow as hell. if you can fit 2x 3s packs into it to get the 1400 to work properly id imagine it would be rediculously overpowered. i saw a 6s ebuggy on youtube an he couldnt give any throttle as it wheelied or backflipped. also i dont think you are allowed to run a 6s at any big races, might get away with it at club lvl.

Im going to be running 2x sets of the batteries you linked in mine to get 4s but with a 2050 motor. if you going to get one get a 1900 an im sure you will be more than happy

The 1900Kv is spot on for a 1/8th buggy. 1400kv is for 5-6s only.
4S is the way to go as the BRCA will pobably adopt this for the national series, which will filter down over time to clubs.

BUT your link for battries is a bit strange as they are saddle packs, which would mean a lot of extra wiring to fit enough to make up a 4s setup, this is not ideal, 2 sets of stick packes would be better unless you need them for another car as well....

With the 5500Mah batts you should get about 16 Mins of run time, depending on which track etc.

Have a look at these 2s packs
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html
Obviously you will need 2 of them - they are far better than any 'top brand' packs I have had and they are far better value even if you use express shipping.

1400kv definate no no on 4s go for the 1900 or 2050........2650s good if your on a wide open track with lots of open throttle.
