Default Parking

Right, for all those who've not raced at Dudley on a Sunday, please think about where you park. A lot of us park at the back right next to the sports hall but, the sports people lock the gates pretty soon after we've all turned up and don't bother opening them again till we're about to leave. Parking at the front is always busy, so be carefull there, so if other have allready parked outside the school bit, then you should be okay parking there.

For all the smokers out there, this is a school and they don't like that kinda thing, so if you want to smoke, do it outside the school gates or in your car - this has come from the school itself and not the club.

I think we're setting up the track the night before, so if anyone wants to come along to help you'll be more than welcome.

Sarah

Dudley will be having rd1 of their winter series this sunday, and one of the thing they'll be racing is micros, so if you want to get a warm up round in then come along tomorrow. Doors open from 8am, there's normally enough tables and chairs but if you have your own then bring it along to make sure. There's a maccy'dees up the road right next to a subway, but fill up your car enough for a round trip as the petrol station there tends to be on the pricey side.

Other classes normally run are

F1
Mardave stock and mod
touring cars
1/10th 2wd / 4wd buggies

Im planning on coming tomorrow with a few others, what sort of track do you lay for the offroaders? I gather its not a full off-road track as theres touring cars there etc, but what sort of movable features do you put in?

Thanks,
Ben

It's normally pretty good. There's big-ish jumps, the type they have for the 1/10th people, but because there's on road too, it can't be anything to really take your breath away, no offence to anyone at Dudley. We'll be in the main club room for the winter series, and I should be there pretty much from 8ish, so just park roughly where you see my car, unless I get moved at some point.

Unhappy today's dudley meet cancelled

As the title say's, today's meet has been cancelled. That's all I know at the mo'. I turned up at the school gates at 7.45 am and waited till someone from the sports arena turned up at 8.30am to tell me Roy cancelled late last night.

Talking setup

Had an email from Roy earlier. They're / we're setting up the hall from 2pm on the saturday. I'm sure any help would be more than appreciated with this (especially from me as the jump I've done is a bit fiddly to get into position, not heavy, just needs more than one person ideally to move properly without it falling over and breaking completely).

Unhappy go jump!

Anyone good with a screwdriver? I'm having a right job of finishing the second part of the jump. My powerdriver's gone on strike and my diabetes is playing up, so I'm as stiff as anything at the mo'.

owww, I hurt!

Just a quick thanks to the people who helped us put the track away, it was much appreciated, and hope you all had a good.

Can someone please pass this message onto the micro forum, as I'm banned on that forum.

Someone left a cml dist folding chair in the hall that had broke. Please, put your rubbish in the bins provided, or if as in this case, the item is too big for the bin, take it home with you, don't expect the club you're at to deal with it.

Sarah
