Default which wire gauge for esc?

Can someone please tell me what the "standard" awg wire gauge is for 1/10 offroad electrics? is it 14awg or 12awg?

I'd recommend 12 awg as its nice and thick but some people say 14 is thick enough. I'd say the thicker the better as it can handle higher currents (especially in a 4WD) without too much loss.
Only down side is its not as easy to hide it and make it as neat. Depend on what car it's going in.

I use 13 also and 14 on some cars, 12 isn't needed. 14 is fine, perfect for your boys.
