Default New motor advice please.

I have done some searching on the forum but can only seem to find older posts about this.

I have a 1/10 Schumacher cat k1 aero and currently has a castle motor in that I am not very impressed with and it's far too much torque for the car.

I've seen some old posts about the speed passion v3. I just wanted to ask what your opinions are please. It has a castle creations SCT combo 4 pole at the moment. Will this speed controller be fine with most motors? I have read 6.5T is the way to go for 4wd.

Is the KV rating important? I am running turnigy nano-tech 5000mah 2s 7.4 30c 60c lipo saddle pack if that helps.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not familiar with the castle stuff, isn't really used for racing.
Ignore the kv and just go for either a 6.5 or a 5.5 turn. Not sure if your esc is sensored?
The speed passion motors are good, as are sky rc esc. 120amp toro.

Thanks. No it's the sidewinder so it's not sensored. 😥

Okay well I run the hobbyking xcar 120a beast escs and they are great.
Hobbyking motors are good as well, 6.5 trackstar is more than enough.
