Yeah it was a good day out, think everyone that went enjoyed there day out and it's always nice to race somewhere different. The track layout is good, just needs a little extra work as has been discussed to make it a good off road track but the basics are already there. I think I won the three leg final, more by a mixture of luck than driving skill.

Simon tq'd the 2wd followed by myself and Dave Evans. Think the results and some photos should be up soon in the East of England section on here.

With the finals it would be the best two leg finishes from the three legs to count. I have worked it out below assuming that if a tie takes place the third legs comes into count. However different events and clubs use different rules, some decide it on the fastest counting leg and some combine the two counting legs, I can't remember what the BRCA rules state.

So with the A final I won with a 1st and a 2nd, Dave came second with a 1st and 2nd, but because he had a 3rd in the second leg finishes behind me as I had another second place finish. Simon was 3rd with a 1st and a 3rd, Keith was 4th with a 4th and a 3rd, you were 5th with two 4th place finishes, Carl was sixth with a 5th and 6th finish and Ben was seventh with a seven and a five.

Well that's how I would understand the results to be anyway.

If its BRCA, Mr Evans takes it. You discard the worst result and compare the times from your best result. Dave pips you with a better 9 lapper.

I only know this after a ridiculously close race last year between Zipper and Simon, split by something like 1/100 of a second.

'twas a good day for blowing the cobwebs off.

on another note, we had the idea of inviting colchester up to NBC for the return match, maybe next month or march on the grass track,BUT it would be good to have a good turn out of NBC drivers,

Sounds like a good idea to have a return meeting. Will let you know which date I can do in February as I can't remember.

Shows how much I know about the rules for working out tie-breaks, congrats on your win Dave
