The closest (and still running) is Lowestoft and Beccles. Great bunch, friendly. It's in a sports hall and reasonable sized track. Mainly for TC and minis but they'll run off road if enough interest. AMB. I last went over a year ago.

West Suffolk are closer, but its a small hall and I'm not sure they're still running? Link is on www.brca-eoe.co.uk

Just noticed your patriotic Avatar. Best make the most of the English clubs. In 2 years you'll be on a cattle cart north, and we'll be adding another couple of courses to Hadrians wall

There's Model Junction Racing at Bury St Edmunds on Wednesaday night nights, but that's TCs and the Schumacher super stock things.

Anyone fancy a trip to Lowestoft and Beccles club next Sunday. Need to blow the cobwebs off.....

Probably need 3 or 4 peeps to pursuade them to run some off road.

Hi Simon, tempting but i'll not be ready in time. Got quite a bit of work to do, just to get 4 wheels turning and no time to do it in.

Are you and/or others off to Maritime tomorrow or round 2 in a month?

Hi Ben
Thought it would take you a bit of time to notice the Avatar, seeing as you are from Sleepy Suffolk after all !!

I would be concerned about the cattle cart trip , especially if you'd built it , would probably fall apart by the time I got to Stowmarket !!

Anyway , I was thinking indoor , off road , very local if possible , even if its one night a month or something ? What would it take to try and get a venue sorted ? Anyone fancy it ??

I looked at trying to set up a micro (1/14-1/18th) buggy club in the upstairs of a pub in manningtree. Think 1/10th would be too big...

They offer free hire as long people buy drinks etc. logistically I think it's very possible & the buggies are peanuts (from £60 rtr).

What stopped me was the need to have minimum 8-10 drivers ready to race with buggies for the first meeting. Just couldn't see it happening

Micro would be pretty cool I think , hadn't considered those ! I'm sure we could get enough interest to get something going !

West Suffolk at Risby will run Buggys on a Monday night as long as they get 4.

They already have 1 person willing so it would just need 3 of you to go across.

Sounds like a plan! Anyone have a contact number/email/oople username for the folks at WSMCC.

Not sure if i'll be ready for this week but maybe next? Anyone else?

I'd be interested in racing indoors somewhere over the winter months giving the hit and miss weather, although distance would put pay to mid week racing if it were too far.

thecarclub.org.uk, what used to be Kellers Model Car Club, which race on a sunday evening from about 6pm in Trowse on the outskirts of Norwich have raced off road in the past and am sure they would cater for a heat if there is interest.

I might be interested, I recall the track being tiny last time we went a few years back but the 'no mud' idea does sound appealing

I was in Woodbridge today and went past the community hall , I did some work in there a while back and from memory it is quite a large hall , with a raised stage area which would be perfect as a rostrum.
It also has two smaller rooms which would be ideal for pitting and a kitchen for refreshments !

Polished wooden floors , how do they cope with tyre marks ?? Anyone have any idea ?
