I think there are 3 so far?

And i know of one or two that are interested....

But as stated maybe no huge changes until the end of the season..
By the way Worksop indoors starts in September - thats only 2 months!! this outdoor season seems to be zooming by and it doesnt feel like we've even got going yet

Unless the car he is driving now is rubbish

And changing mid season, or 8 weeks before the Euros doesn't matter to the top lads, look at Neil last year, hadn't seen the B-Max till the start of the meeting, didn't seem to stop him winning then.

Whoes to say that one of the top lads, doesn't already have a Durango, that they're having some fun with behind closed doors.

I know Neil didn't change firms, but my point was that it doesn't matter to people like him when they change cars, they'll still do well, even if its very new to them, like the B-Max is compared to the BX, that would be much the same as swapping to the Durango from something else, as long as theyget the support they need, like Yokomo gave Neil last year.

As for contracts, do they all run round at the start of the year saying how long they're deal still has to run? Maybe someone is out of contract right now.

Neil also had the BX at the euros and tried them back to back, he wasn't stuck with the car he had a choice.

Most contracts will run till the end of the year ish, but they will all see out the summer including euros and worlds. There is at least one company that i know of that if you dont sign the next years contract you cannot claim last seasons bonuses. If it totals up to 15-20k it can be pretty hard to walk away

Default What do they get paid

Just totally out of interest here - but what sort of cash do the top guys earn in this sport?

any ideas always wondered and as yet not read - or heard much...

post above this mentions 15-20k in bonuses? so i guess the contract is worth more..

ps...neil cragg has nothing to worry about - i wont be challenging him this yr at least !!!!

I don't think anyone will tell you what they earn, would you tell people over a forum what you earned last year?

Like they are going to answer that Over to b-mag for the answer
I think i'm right in thinking that neil changed to the B44 at the turn of the year, so this back's up what lee is saying about contract turms, what happened with BJ though is anybodies guess (joke)

MattW this cars looks a better car than the old 2005 prototypes
believe me they are a little basic and shims here and washers/pins there but good performers....i am joe public and ive been bouncing mine off of local village hall walls for about 4 years and have never had such a geniunley fast car and now its a bit worn i cannot look at or drive anything else they all feel agricultural compared with the durango....

this is a much better car than the prototypes
and Lee it isnt an old design in fact one of the newest in 1/10th offroad and has never been able to show its full potential in the hands of the public or top level
oh and Lee the fact that the new car runs lipo's shouldnt be a factor as you add the weight back where it should be

Are you sure it has never been able to show its full potential? Didn't Hara have a bash with one, you know the little fella that has Multiple Worlds trophies?

I dont dispute that weight can be added all i said was that the original car was designed round heavy cells which will add stability but also generate more roll/grip in the turns
