Won't run it, even though I'm on the SC10 gear diff. I refuse to have any kind of e-clip on my car, ever again. Doesn't matter how big the clip is.

what he said, lol. E Clip has been a pain. Whats the idea of an e-clip in a gear diff? How can it be smoother than say the SC10 one?

what's the problem with E-clips in gear diffs?

I have built several gear diffs from other manufacturers, and most of them had E-clips

The SC10 diff had a pin that locks the outdrive in, which can't come out because of how the internal gears are slotted. A clip can easily get stressed and come loose.

Either never had a problem with E-clips in my whole 15 years of building RC.

I would rather have a pin fitting as well, find eclips awkward and can pop off or stretch and weaken whereas a pin held in place by the gear is not going anywhere.
But do like the look of the diff compared to the SC110 one!

Can't understand the hate either, large parts of my bike are held together with e-clips (and c-clips) even user serviceable and load bearing parts.

And i bet most of the haters drive too........ large chunks of your car (inc. safety critical parts) are held together by C/E-clips..........

Maybe the ARRMA outdrives and gear set will drop straight in. That's cross pin driven. I'm more than happy with the design as is. Just need to get my hands on one..

Does anyone have advise on which weight of oil to use in the 210 Gear Diff. Having never ran a gear diff in a 2WD before ??? will be running on a small tight carpet track which is fairly high grip.

On the 410 I normally run 7k rear, 12.5k front.

Check the TD site for DEX210 indoor setups (Ardent & Broxtowe Indoor as 2 examples). The ones I've looked at seem to be running either 3K or 5k...

Hi mate,

ive been running the geared diff since using the car at the oople race in July.

I tend to run anything between 1k to 5k, but have found 3k to be a good all rounder on most tracks.

On a high grip track you can go really light on the oils, which really allows the car to pivot whilst still giving you loads of drive on corner exit.

I think a good starting poing would be 3k. If you need more rotation then go down in the oil or up if you need less rotation.

Think you will find 3k works really well.

It varies I have seen some have run 650 some have run 1-2-3+.. I have been running a SC10 diff in mine for a good 3-4 meetings.. and have tried 3k-2k-1k and favoured 2k.
A lot depends on the track layout grip.. driving style and so on...
