Default orca ESC issue motor gets v.hot !!

hi leccy gurus
friend came with recently obtaned Orca ESC(didnt take much notice of model)

He brought it round and said motor got extremely hot very quick
removed motor rewired to old esc of mine and all is good

resoldered good motor to orca and same result got very hot again
all i can see is ESC wires to motor are marked C-B-A on ESC left to right as you look at them . followed this when wiring ESC for second time ,Is it possible this is an error and wires need to traditional A-B-C left to right ?

admittedly the motor got so hot so quickly i didnt have time to check motor direction it may have gone wrong way i wasnt able also to set neutral and end points wonder if this is another clue or is it just toast !!

regards dave

It's possible on most Orca's to change direction with programmer.
Did you try it sensorless? Or with a different sensor wire

sensored with two motors and different sensor leads

have had more info from a previous owner apparently its had a software update which reorganizes motor wire orienrtation so will try resoldering

and try again !!
