Help please
Hi all I'm running a b44.2 with a 6.5 turn motor and a 18 tooth pinion, last meeting I found my motor running really hot after 5 mins run time, are my right in saying I should lower the pinion size to a 17 or 16 and adjust my spur to pinion mesh. Thanks in advance for any advice

your mesh should always be set just right, not too tight and not too lose, if your not really sure, just use the paper trick, where you push the two together tightly with a bit of paper between them. then pull the paper out.
In terms of gearing, going down a couple of teeth can help, but no idea what to suggest, maybe some of the others that run the 44 can help. Come talk to us next week and we can talk you through it and measure your motor temp etc.
