Default LRP Flow for 2wd offroad carpet

Hi folks,

Which firmware do you guys use for 2wd offroad on carpet? Still v3.8?

Also, what is a good base setup for such a scenario?

I use the 3.8 version with blinky settings. Br2 brakes with no drag brake and dial down on the transmitter. I find any other brake setting and its either too aggressive low rpm and no high rpm or vice a versa.

I run v3.8 on 3-2-2-2-0-0-1. Take torque boost to 2 if you need a little more punch

One question...all these settings are always done with brake EPA set to 80% as recommended by the manual right?

I've always set my epas to 100% before setting up my esc. Then adjust from there to suit requirements.

As Dan rightly says, set everything to 100% then dial down, not before.

I use standard esc and dont mess with the settings, just change motors according to what speed I want.

I still prefer the V3.3 Offroad Firmware on my LRP Flow, as its noticeably Smoother than the Newer V3.8!

Just wondering as im going to use a flow on yz-2, i asume it will come with 5.4fw so are the other firmwares older or just versions of the same release to suit different classes of rc ?
What I mean is should I go on 3.8 if I'm using a 2wd buggy or stick with newer firmware.

I use Sworks 2WD which is similar to the Yokomo and I would try the standard software that comes with the esc. Normally you do changes in stages so one stage or step at a time. Dont mess with the timing setting, start messing with the boost setting and go up on one per run until you find the balance where it comes in at the right stage of the bends and when happy you may want to mess with the turbo but most dont go beyond boost as using both it may not be as good as using just one. I hope I make sense.

I have a speedo with 3.8 installed, usb bridge and a 7.5 x20 if you are interested, the 3.8 software is much better for off road I think.
