Default reducing the weight?

hi there,

i have just weight my cat sx just to see if it is above the regulations and it is over by 116g weighting at 1704g and the limit is 1588g. i don't want to spend lots getting titanium screws etc. but is the other ways of reducing the weight?

many thanks

lewis

Spare your money on titanium and invest in lead .
Most of the team are running at least 50g of extra weight in the rear.
1800g are not uncommon in top level racing.

Change batteries to drop some weight, some packs are remarkably heavy and thats the easiest way to drop 50-100g .. when i was running 4900 trak powers my car was 1605 from memory, since then swapped to SMC5200's and its 1690 odd

like cruise says. dont worry about it. the horsepower and battery life we have nowadays makes it not an issue for 1 and also a lot of the team add weight to the car to aid handling and grip where they want it. just read the setup sections as most setups show where people add it
