Default Cougarr 8mm chassis + Saddle packs

I'm just building up a new Cougar with the 8mm chassis, and with saddle pack layout too.

How will the handling compare to a kit spec Cougar?

Anything I need to consider on the setup?

I tried out the chassis today, really impressed by the way it changed the car. Less on edge or twitchy. I really like it. Be warned that the bulkhead needs a good amount of trimming to make it fit.

ill be trying my custom 8mm chassis today
i went for the easy option to make the body fit, just warmed up the shell and flattened out the two front angles where it fits round the bulkhead, saves dremeling the bulkhead down

I've been running mine for a couple weeks now with minimal setup changes to get a feel for it, wasn't to impressed with it the first week, seems to have taken away some rear grip and made the front end lack steering, I do however have the 50mm link on the front so I'll be going back to the lower sizes this week.

it shouldn't get rid of any rear grip as it moves the weight more to the back of the car and makes it more stable so it will take away some steering but just go to the next camber link down to get it back

Do you mean change the carbon fiber link to the smaller size?.........also why do you need to mod the bulk head,i thought it just fitted on it,could we have some pics showing what needs to be done

ye sorry just go to the next camber link down to get the steering back if its needed and you just take a little off where it is rubbing or u could try heating up the shell like someone has said but not really advised as could make a mess haha
