I just need some durango parts. My car is ready to run if not for the dingo shock parts. I am trying to get them locally. Problem is the local dealer is a nitwit.
If all set i can do my own testing. Latest news..the dealer has these parts. I will get them tmrw.

I make hubs that can fit modern zx5 knuckles that are far cheaper, whats more you can also use 3racings alloy zx5 knluckles if you want more strength. These hubs are zero caster. But very very strong and made of PEEK. I have yet to break them even after abusive knocks. In contrast i broke a lazer zx hub after a few knocks.

I have solved the problem of the driveline jamming up when i lock the one way and when i reverse the one way nut drops off. No more such problems.layshaft works well in forward and reverse. I can say i am ready to launch, and am comfident those who lock their one ways wont have any brinneling issues. I will test the car at an outdoor track tommorow with at least 2 packs if the car doesnt break down.
I have 2 videos of my in house test please search for them on youtube. Keywords are lazer zx slipper.so how many of you run with the one way locked?

How did the race go ? Did you have issues with the one way brinneling the shaft?

I had issues setting it up as my tub needs some modification to give the car more feeling and better steering capability, also shocks are not up to the job either as i need more droop but i did five fifteen minute runs and had no issues and found the slipper VTS wprked faultlessly, zero slop as well so think its there.

Ended up using my sponsers preferred car but will be using the entire practice day in November working on my lazer as i got some nice comments from quite a few guys about it, And hope to iron out my handling issues to just turn up and drive with zero set up alterations (just like i used to do, one set up for all indoor tracks)

ok, to take some load of your shoulders, I will be doing my own testing too.
I ran two packs last week on my ZX with a 4t but the motor overheat, so only managed to do 2 laps each pack. I will swap my 10.5 from my SWB to my ZX and retest on Friday. Also my ZX shocks are too hard now, it was throwing the car off unlike my soft LWB Mid, as can be seen in the video above. It handled awesome at the track. I wanna get my lazer to handle like that.

Default Arms

I broke my arms yet again at an area where there is a sharp edge.

So as of now, I am getting 2 front arms made without the cutting, at the inner hingepin area, to avoid breakage here. I cased many jumps and on the one that broke this arm, I landed my outer wishbone squarely on the landing ramp, because my battery was getting weaker and I start to lack the speed to clear the jump. I will ask about the layshaft, they should be ready too, for testing. Update : layshaft received. will re install and re test this week.

Interesting how that broke, still sounds like a good redesign. Ok spent a lot of time on my zxr this weekend and did a full rebuild on my trx1 shocks, plus got a surplus of shafts as well. Cars still a bit too high off the deck for indoor carpet racing but on 29th November this is gonna get a lot of driving.

Oh forgot to mention ive redesigned the spur to basically a B4 standard spur with 100t so due to it being fractionally slimmer means the shaft fits fine. I think I sent you both types so may be worth looking at

James..dont change anything on the spur..only needs to have the slipper pad cutting to be fractionaly bigger as the pads require pressing in now and removal is very difficult and can damage the pads.

Default lazer ZX-S parts

hello i know it might be a sinful request but... has any thought been given to producing the rare ZX-S parts like diff cases and other parts.. i really like the design but chances of finding one are nearly non existant.. i believe fibrelyte do the carbon fibre parts...
just a idea thats all
cheers sean

PS love the fact that people are so into these vintage cars that they are willing to spend the time making and designing parts to improve them..

I have a feeling that the rw spurs are too soft compared to associateds.
i will be testing with a 87 tooth just to see if it solves the wobbling issue.
Then again you might not be facing any problems because of vts.

i just bought 2 vts conversion set. I will test on my lazer and mid when i get them. I have a feeling welshy doesnt face wobbling problems because of vts.
