What weight is the kit shock oil?
Hi there
Third meeting with the standard B-MAX and it's handling a treat. Everything is as per kit settings and I can't fault it (so far). I'd like to know what weight the kit shocks oils are as I'm planning to strip it down in a few meetings time for some maintenance to the diffs and shocks. If anyone is thinking about one - you can't go wrong for £165. Regards

It's 300 rear, 350 front. From what I undertsand that's about 27.5wt rear, 30wt front (in Losi oils). Hope this helps...

Thanks Cod.
Mine came with 1 bottle too, and the cap was white.. I reckon 35 rear and 30 front won't be too far off! Thanks

Definetly guys. There is no absolute truth in oils and each company makes their own standards... It's much more a "pick a starting point and then move on from there with what you feel" kind of thing. Stick to the same brand and move around with 5wt increments. If you pay any attention to your cars handling while driving, you will feel a difference. If you are racing on a relatively smooth course, 35/30 could be a good starting point. Personally, I always run a bit heavier in the front., (30 rear 35 front for example), but our tracks are definetly wa world appart from brittish tracks, so whatever works for you...
