With the Lutzinator doing well in the states with his DEX408 it's just teasing us even more. But with TD I think it will be at least Xmas and probably next year before we see the 1/8th e- buggy, especially as they are releasing the new 210 so soon. The V3 is more of an evolution than a new kit.
As Ryan Lutz couldn't take the shell off during the 1/8th US nationals it makes you think if the new parts underneath are either pre production prototypes and thus not easy on the eye, or parts that could be seen on a V2 of the nitro buggy that could be released at the same time.
Food for thought anyway.

I don't know if this has been posted or you guys have seen this video, but it makes me rather curious as well:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_6uvO2T954

It's one of the very few videos it seems of a DEX408... Are they testing it more recently perhaps? I'd love to see this become available to the masses! I'd be very tempted to buy one, especially since many tracks in the Netherlands are 1/8th or 1/5th scale...

What I said was the TD website hadn't officially released the v3. I never said anything about the cars not being in the hands of customers already.

The DEX210 still hasn't arrived either way

But is the 'soon' in a TD timescale, or real time. I think we all understand that they are a young, small company and prob. have a lot on their plate at the mo. But the delay does seem to suggest it's a bit more than a simpler e conversion, and it was reported that Litz was running some new parts at the ROAR nationals.
My dilemma is I've been looking at doing another class as well as my DEX410, 1/8th buggy looks good but I prefer electric as nitro looks like it could be hassle. The DESC410 also looks good, and would share a lot of parts with my buggy, but no one around here races short course trucks, whereas most 1/8th clubs will accept the e buggies.
Let's just hope that TD manage to get this DEX408 out pretty soon.

We are testing a few more bits on the Dex408 platform. Ryan's car was very good at the recent Gas champs finishing 2nd in the Ebuggy class.
