Kyosho ZX- ...?? Which version?
Hi guys,
Got 2 Kyosho Lazer saturday. I get the 2 cars from the same guy for a good price, but he gave up that hobby since years and don't know any more which versions they are. I'm not such a Kyosho specialist... so I need your help now Both cars are almost complete and basically in good shape... Either one should be a ZX-RR, there is in effect no doubt But the other one...no idea! I think it should be a ZX-R or ZX-R Mk2. But what's the difference between both version? Here's the car: Regards, Daniel |

Hi,
It's basically a mk1 with a mk2 front shock tower. To understand the differences between the mk1 and mk2 your best course of action would be study pages 27 to 30 of the Lazer ZX-R manual on Retromodelisme as these pages are the supplement to convert the mk1 to a mk2. http://www.retromodelisme.com/manuel...-r-kyosho.html |

Hi Pacman,
thank you very much for your help. Yes, I already studied the zx-r manual on retromodelisme, also suposed it would be a ZX-R. So at first look I have to replace some parts to build it correctly: rear hub carriers, replace the rear universals by dogbones, front shock tower and turnbuckles ...right? Cheers, Daniel |

Depends what you are trying to build.
I recently built a zxr mk1/mk2 hybrid. It took one zx sport and what was left of a Lazer ZX and 2 mk2's. My advice to you would be to make one good car from the 2 you have and then see if you have enough left to build a 2nd. |

The other chassis is in good shape and almost complete. It's just partially disassembled. I think I will build 2 chassis
