Default Possible bad batch of Sanwa servo's

As title I have found 3 servos with what can only be a faulty spline pitch!!

The way to test if urs is or not is with an alloy servo horn!
Yokomo hudy these types which don't have a cut in to clamp it up!

The plastic horns work fine it is the alloy ones.

I have 2 971's (waterproof) and 1 sdx801.

I have a friend with a 971 with the same fault to.

These servos are faulty contact ur shop or distributor

I agree, sounds like it's the alloy servo horn which is incorrect.

I have 2 older 801's and 1 brand new 801 that accepts the selection (5 hudy horns) (3 yokomo horns) no problem.

I will only post what I know for fact

And yes the plastic ones are fine it can only be the toothsome pitch as they have the same amount of teeth and on a vernier are the same size exactly!

I have a SDX-801 in my M05, and that has a Alloy Servo horn. Goes on without problems. That is a tamiya horn though, for the M05.

Yeah I have a few that will accept the alloy horn,
I have a few that don't these we're purchased within a month hence I have said

"Bad batch"

I have only brought the issue to attention so u can check being honest if urs accepts alloy horns it saves hassle of getting it replaced.

If u are never gonna use an alloy horn it won't ever matter that it don't fit them.

It would be nice to know how many others have the issue, a guy in Australia has one with an issue (on rctech too)

The 3 with issue's were purchased feb and April this year. If u have got one this year it's worth a check
