That is absolutely beautiful mate.

Was just browsing this section of the forum as my regular painter is hanging up the tools for a bit. Will be in touch soon.

Just picked up the shell this morning from the post office.

Looks awesome in the flesh, so to speak, the little detailing touches and the window shaping is excellent. Also like the addition of the silver to the window lines and around the initials logos.

Thanks again for such a great job, I'll post a picture of it on the car once cut.

Good stuff - glad you like it
You never can see all the little bits in the photos!

Cheers.

Got the shell Monday. Looks awesome in person, thanks andy!, sorry for the poor quality pics and crappy yellow wheels, looks much better with white wheels. Got it cut out yesterday and fitted and it fits perfect! I put the soft part of velcro on the side of the chassis to stop paint rubbing off, not sure if this is the best way?

Cheers for the pics

I seal all the shells I paint with a layer of clear Plasticote - that said, what I also do on my own shells is run some tape along the sides and on any areas where the chassis may rub onto the shell. This makes them last MUCH longer before any paint gets rubbed etc. The tape I use is listed on ebay as 'Cricket Bat Tape'. It's white - a bit like Gaffa tape, but has a weave to it and is very tough. I then use velcro, stuck to the tape

love it.

Might have been tempted to go asymmetrical with the Jap flag though.

You funny bugger

What I meant was - in the context of the Japan Flag design, which is a symmetrical graphic, how would you apply it differently (asymmetrically) versus how i've applied it?

So - what would be asymmetrical? Different position on each side? Confused

pretty clear question if you ask me. Happy to be of service.

Joking aside, I would have maybe set the centre of the flag nearer the centre of the shell, and had one set of radiating lines.

nitpicking though - I think it's ace.

Two Durango Shells for Allan O'Brian.

All the main design is cut out of liquid mask. It total there's around 2 full days work in these, took me ages - but worth it!

Hope you like them Allan.

One for Martin 'Numpty' Pearson - based on an F1 helmet. Fluorescent Yellow & orange in photos's looks quite different on the car.
