Actually anything is possible. I just do not own a YZ-2 and as far as I understood, the chassis of the YZ-2 is a one piece aluminium design. No plastic piece available to easily attach to the new chassis plate...

I converted my front wishbones and steering blocks to the YZ-s parts. This weekend is the first race with the car, I will report how it handles...

Your right about the YZ2 front kick up has been done on the aluminium chassis so no plastic front section. The work you have done is to a fantastic standard although I agree with the others if you could some how have the new YZ2 front end on it you could potentially have one hell of a car

There is some news I want to share.
The car handles great, the YZ-2 front parts generate so much steering... And acceleration is unbelievable with just 1550 grams race-ready.

After a few heats I was involved in a crash that destroyed the only YZ-2 arm I had and I had to convert the front back to the B Max 2 steering. The YZ-2 front is so much better though...

And I love the overall balance, PLUS just undoing 4 screws to take the diff out... Easy oil change in 3 minutes...

I now decided to do a YZ-2 front and B Max 4 rear version. Might take some time, but I'll start working on it. A one-piece aluminium chassis is the plan. No idea where we will end up cost-wise, it would be nice to get a few of these kits on the carpet...

And please ignore the direction of the front wheels in the image below. I know.

Default YZ2MAX4

Finally...
Prototype to be on carpet next month.

It should be quite cheap to get a BMAX 4 rear unit soon when all the Yoke folks do the switch to the YZ4...

Default YZ2 MAX4 III

Next step towards the ultimate 2WD.
Diff rebuild between 2 heats? No problem at all.

I am currently trying to get a price for a small run of 10 or 20 sets. The chassis is made from 7075 aluminium, the sidepods are SLS printed in either graphite or carbon. The YZ2 MAX4 will hit carpet this friday for the first time. I am more than curious how she will behave...

Please drop me a PM if you would basically be interested in a chassis so I can get better quotes...

Frank

I think this format is redundant, given the limitations with the bmax4iii rear end geometry.

Now what would be interesting would be a yz4 rear with a yz2 front, with the ability to position the motor and battery on the chassis with different belt lengths (a la kf2).

Be great to see your creation then Neal! Me and a buddy at my club keep banging on about something similar using the TRF503 rear, belt drive drive hybrids!

Might still be able to use bmax 2 front end, as I have the worlds version, that is a single piece chassis no separate plastic part.

Would be interested, just need a cheap bmax 4 to have ago with.
