Default Next Meeting....Sunday 8th Sept....

Hi guys,

Next and final meeting of the summer series is confirmed for Sunday 8th September...all usual arrangements and timings apply!

I believe it clashes with Tiverton, but with so few dates available to us during September this is the only chance we have to run! So hopefully we'll still get enough to have a few heats running

As it clashes it does mean South West RC won't be attending this time...so if you need any tyres or other bits, best to come prepared!

See you there

As Andy has said unfortunately we (South West RC) had already committed to Tiverton on this date so we will not be able to make it track side. However if there is something you need then get in touch with Rob and I am sure we can find a way to get it to you either before or on the day

Ill come along. Not a member but I'd love to join. Any chance of running 2wd and 4wd, or is it usually one or t'other?

Hi Rob,

You don't need to be a member on race days, so come along and join in! Just costs you a little more to race

Your free to run both classes....and it doesn't cost you any more either...but it will depend on numbers! As long as there are enough heats and racers to cover marshalling you'll be fine.

We're not expecting a huge turnout this week as Tiverton are also racing, but we'll see what we can do!

Default post meeting

hi there

Aother great meeting thanks to everyone that made it so, may be something for next time.

With the numbers we had, could we have run an extra heat four instead of three, splitting up the buggy heats in to three instead of just two.

Heats are always hard to arrange in terms of ability so having less numbers on the track at the same time helps with a faster driver being in a slower heat and not getting a good run.

This would also help with marshalling as I did feel guilty not marshalling as I was drive two classes one after another, which may not happen with the extra heat.

After the finals could we all not get around and go through the results and congratulate everyone for turning up, it just seems a good idea to finish this way as a club, and to tell everyone present when the next meeting is or of any news.

Best regards

Neale

Hopefully with the winter series coming up the dates will not clash with other clubs racing and numbers will be back up to normal but Neale has made some good points that need to be addressed.

The time taken for some marshals to get out onto the track was woeful yesterday. It wasn't helped by some racers running two classes & more heats would have helped but its not alot of fun for race control having to chase all day.

Let's get it running smoother for the winter
