With the revised design you get much better adjustment with the Team-C slipper pads, I wanted to make the spur worked perfectly without having to buy other parts to modify.

Will update everyone later this week on price & delivery.

Testing has all gone well and they will be available from next week.

We are also making a version to use the Durango slipper pads but without having to have the slipper plates modified for those who are not getting on with the Team C slipper pads.

Update on price and availability ASAP.

I've heard of a few people using the Durango parts successfully so was thinking of giving this a go as well when my tm2 arrives. What Durango parts do I need to order though, does anyone have the part numbers please? Then one of these spur gears fitted to it will do just nicely!

Funny that was talking to your supplier about this and now YOU have come up with the idea

I will be testing it this weekend as the spur has just landed on my desk

Sorry Checa if you think someone is trying to steal your idea but with the help of many of the Absima drivers in Europe we have been trying to resolve this issue since the first production kits have arrived in Europe weeks ago, many of those drivers also run the pre-production cars and have tried all sorts of options to make the slipper work efficiently.

Various options have been tried including using other manufacturers parts and machining of parts and spurs. Option one for us has always been to use the kit slipper pads with a correctly machined spur gear as a direct replacement, that has been achieved. A number of people have had issues setting the slipper to be consistent and have asked for an alternative slipper pad so this was always going to be option two.

For those who have had problems we are just trying to get a spur that works correctly and doesn't cost a arm and a leg to get things specially machined or reworked.

I am just relaying the info from the manufacturer to keep people informed what is going on behind the scene.

Lets just get this fixed ASAP so we can all enjoy racing the TM-2

Default DIRECT REPLACEMENT SPUR GEARS NOW AVAILABLE

After lengthy testing the spur gears are now available.

I have been working closely with Neil at RW Racing the number one supplier of spur and pinion gears to the RC industry to get a direct replacement for the Team-C kit spur gear.

Made from very hard-wearing Acetol, the 85 tooth spur gear is a direct replacement for the Team C kit spur but without the slots and does not need any centre bearing or any other modification, its runs true and quite.

There will also be a version available for use with the Durango slipper pads if required but without having to have any machining to the slipper plates.

Priced at £6.95 plus postage you can contact neil directly at neil@rwracing.co.uk

For all those people who PM'd me you have a message on the way, thanks for the help and support.

Happy racing
