Default Couple of advice questions on the Mini 8ight

Just wondering firstly, how do you guys cure the steering slop in your Mini 8ights? I've noticed their is a lot of play, it seems to be coming from the steering link, so I'm thinking of going carbon, will it improve it though?
Also upgrading my steering servo as this just doesn't hold the wheels at all under power, been looking at the Hitec 225MG, just wondering is their any other options though in the same kind of price range?
And lastly, how do I get more power to go to the rear? I know the diffs aren't sealed so thicker oil in the front isn't an option, was wondering ia nyone here has any tips or tricks to doing it? I get really bad understeer.
Any advice on the above 3 things would be appreciated

Hi
i got a drag link from here and it totally got rid of all slop... you may have to e-mail them though as there paypal is not working

regarding the understeer, i would fit a new servo first then try it,you can put thicker grease in the front diff(losi super grease is one)but at the moment would only make understeer worse

not sure how much your looking to spend on a servo but the Savox SH1257mg is really good and just fits the std mount with a bit of filing

I was planning on upgrading the servo, don't think I'd want to spend £53 on one though lol.
I think I'll just go with the carbon drag link and the upgraded servo.
Hopefully that will solve some of the issues.
Although if anyone has any other ideas for me to try too, I'm open to suggestions!

When i had my Mini 8 i used the stock servo and it was fine.

However send a pm to a guy under the name of SOS on www.uk-microrc.co.uk as he made the carbon drag links which helped the sloop (The losi carbon one did nothing)

I now race a GTB and still use the Losi Mini 8 servo to no problems at all

I bought the long one (which is standard size) mainly as i had a setup for it.

The shorter on will increase the ackerman steering effect and therefore change the way it turns

if in doubt get the std(long) one,,,some prefer the shorter as i did, and some hated it
as Karting mentions it changes the ackerman.. as the inside wheel turns more thru
the corner than the outer,it seemed to give me more mid corner steering
also check the servo saver, i found the std outer ring or spring became weak after
a while and so did two x-ray ones in the end i fitted a kimborough one and it never
wandered or went weak again

Simplest answer is it'll be more aggressive turning into corners, which should make car fast mid corner aswell.
