1/18th Short Course Trucks?
Hey Guys,
I am thinking of getting Short Course Truck and wondered what you opinions were on whats best to get. Was at a mardave meeting yesterday and someone had a Associated SC18 brushless which looked like ALOT of fun. Been googling but cant find that much info really, only found 2 places that even sell the Associated one. Just wondered if there were other option and what the general opinion was etc. Many Thanks |

Go have a look on Towerhobbies for the Duratrax SC. It's the best 18th scale SC truck on the market.

the 'detta sc is a long wheelbase version of the ftx blaze. so as long as you don't break too many chassis' you'll be fine.

Then put in an order from Tower for a full set of wishbones and a spare chassis and centre drive shaft. With that lot you should be ready to go. |

the sc18 mentioned is mine. yes it is great fun. M B models at halton can get them. i asked michael the other day and he says he will do them for £160. they come ready to run with a 2.4 radio. mines got £30s worth of hobbywing speedo/motor in it. took a bit of sorting, brushed motors get hot and burn out. i'm up at sherburn racing at most meetings if you want a go with the truck. i've also converted a rc18b to a short course truck. easy enough to do. see you next time at sherburn.

I have managed to get a secondhand SC18 (Brushless) Paid 75 quid so I think its pretty good. The previous owner assured me its in good nick apart from a few normal scuffs. Really looking forward to getting it as wanted to get a 1/10th short course when I started but ended up getting a b4.1 as it seemed more place to race them. Worked out for the best I think cos these min SC look even more fun. You guys seem to have such a laugh when ur racing with them/buggies.
Just nee to see whats its like now see if I need to dabble with some upgrades. =D Anyone got suggestions for for lipo batterys for these things? I believe it has deans connectors |
