Default Work Party - Saturday 27 October

Hopefully you have all seen the recent developments to the track - thanks to Ian for the digger, Steve Andrews for the bombhole work and Mart for the tarmac patching.

For this Saturday, we have some tidying planned. We would like to:

Clear the loose top soil and grass that is by the side of the track and tidy up the edges of this strip.
Clear the rubble from the adverse amber section, smooth it out and cover it in Astro
Fill in the middle of the double jump and relay the Astroturf
Check the profile on the up ramps of the table top to ensure we have a consistent surface and angle, etc
Fill in the sections that have dropped on the top of the table top near the wall

With the food wagon there, it looks like we should be able to get teas and coffees during the day as well as a limited selection of hot food.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Many thanks

The Breakfast King (aka Mr Brooke) is on holiday so I guess there will be a reduced participation in dining at the Sunshine Cafe...

Flipping cheek!!!
I might be out of sight but I'm not out of touch!

Matt - I see DC has made mention of bringing paint on Saturday, think he's refering to the bomb hole? We still need to take a view on both the height (as we've discussed, think we may have to take half a board of both sides) and the finish we're after, thought we were going to stick with the natural finish?

Lucy's just made a good point, the natural finish won't show the much sparyed up by the buggies as much as white would!
I hate clever kids!

I will bring paint and some varnish, they can decide what they want, I am on light duties still after my op, so no heavy work for me, but will come along and see what I can do!!!

I think we should leave the bombhole sides in their natural finish - I think it looks a lot more aesthetic to the eye and will be complimented by the adjacent grass area.

Plenty to do around the track and with the foreman present, we should all be kept very busy - isnt that right Mr Church!!!
