TM2 @ EoE Regional rd 5. ARC Raceway.

Another sweltering weekend of weather, welcomed the regional drivers to ARC for their taste of the new fully astro venue, in Essex.

The TM2 has proved to be the benchmark on astro all year and didn't let ARC be the exception. A switch in tyre strategy was the key, with Dboots multibyte A being the drive tyre. Mini pins made for a twitchier ride.

A smaller circuit was made out for the 10th cars to circulate the 8th sized venue.
Round 1 saw 'homeboy' Mark Everitt take the round from Alec and Simon watson(kyosho rb6), Danny Conway having a rare breakdown over the jump section, which was proving to be quickest by rolling it than gunning for the double.
Mark and Danny both shared the top 10 fastest laps with 7 to 3, so just had to get his car fixed.

Round 2 was much closer. Mark, Alec and Danny all swapping sector times crossing the loop. Tony our race commentator was a busy man keeping up with the changes of position. This time Danny came out on top from Mark with fastest laps 8 to 2 against Mark. Alec this time much closer and confirming a great grid start for the 3 leg finals.

Round 3 saw bad luck for Mark, whilst dodging a backmarker over the jumps got nosed into the face of the jump and snapped off a battery lead.....So down to the 'old man' and the 'Essex gypsy'.......LOL danny coming out on top with a lap in hand and Lew Page, TM2, missing 3rd in the round by 0.3secs from Simon Watson. Alec also getting to grips with the undulating circuit as now lapping in the 27 secs bracket.

Round 4 saw the TM2 steal the top 4 as Danny secured pole, with Alec, Mark and Lew in that order at the end of round.

A Finals grid was Danny, Mark, Alec with Lew in 6th.
Mark and Danny fitted new rear multibytes for the finals.
The setup not changed all day. Running low cut staggers to the front.

Leg 1 saw Danny, Mark and Alec get away and finished in that order.
Leg 2 saw a close start to the first minute of the race. Mark stole the lead on the banked corner and didn't look back to take the 2nd leg from Danny by 14 secs with Alec only another 5 secs back. Now level between Danny and Mark into leg 3, with Danny needing TQ and Win to keep his championship hopes alive.
Leg 3 was another close affair up front at the start. This time Mark and Danny got away with Mark having a half spin on lap 5 allowing Danny to get a neat run to the line. Danny from Mark by 8 secs and Alec another 8 secs back. Lew having his best run of the day to grab 5th in the leg and same overall.

TM2 dominant. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th.
