No! Get there as close to 11:00 as possible to help build the track and get your gear set up, batteies charged, practice runs, etc.

Hello,

I live in the US and want to start a club for offroad cars just like you have at your Batley meeting. Are these races held in a school gymn? Do all procedes go to the school or auditorium that is hosting the race? DO you need to take out insurance. I have many questions regarding this. I understand that the laws in the UK are different then the US but any sort of insight would be much appreciated. If anyone has any information on this could you please e-mail me?? Thank you all in advance and look forward to hearing from you.

I'm not sure what it's like in America, but here we tend not to have many profesionally run race tracks, things are usually club based (like Batley) so it's non profit.
Batley has an outdoor permenant track on rented land, and an indoor venue rented by the hour at a local sports hall.
The rental on the hall is expensive so- yes, the venue does end up with most of the money, with what is left over going to the clubs funds.

I am not 100% on how the insurance works, but because Batley and most others are BRCA affiliated clubs (and people need to join the BRCA to race) the insurance comes via the brca since insurance is part of the membership fee.
