Prices:

23mm front set: £51.80
31mm rear set: £49.21
45mm front spring set: £28.49
65mm rear spring set: £31.08

Quite an investment, but in line with other manufacturers big-bores.

Who's getting some?

How much of the hardware is different to the normal shocks? It looks like they might share the seals and shafts so could you just buy the bodies, collars, pistons and plastic parts?

Might work out cheaper?

At just over £160 notes for the shock sets & spring kits is definately quite an investment!! Quality will be of the highest order without doubt, and will work better in certain conditions but I couldn't justify such an outlay, let alone explaining it to the wife

I think i'll be running with what I have

I know exactly what you mean Mike. "how much was that new speedo?" she askes. I can get away saying it was £100 for a RS pro

big bores will have to wait until next month for me. It's only money. I'll earn it back soon

She still reminds me the car was £450 lol

I'll give it a miss, I would like to keep my front teeth intact. The wife kicks off at the price of tyres never mind big bore shocks nice new shocks. They look mint though.

Have you compared the price of these to any other big bore shocks?

Ansmann X Pro/X4 Pro Big Bore Shocks £52 a pair

Kyosho VVC Triple Cap Threaded Big Bore Shock Set £57 a pair and the springs are £14 a pair!

Schumacher Big Bore Shocks are £42 a pair, the springs are £6.30 for fronts and £7.30 for rears, or £31 for 7 pairs of fronts or 7 pairs of rears.

If you purchased the Kyosho shocks and the 10 pairs of springs that are available (as far as I can see on JE Spares) you'd be splashing out over £250!

In all honesty, who's wife is interested enough to even notice the big bores, i suppose they are the same colour? Just go and get them, lol.

Mine might not notice them on the car, but as she is an accountant, she can sniff out every penny that goes out of the bank account!
