Default mardave esc setup problem

Ive been trying to setup a novak xrs sport with a dx3.0 spektrum on my mardave i can get it to work ok but when i first turn on the power to the esc the motor kicks into reverse before the spektrum receiver has time to sync to the transmitter. This can be sometimes embarrasing when the car shoots off the table .
I use to use a mtroniks viper esc without this problem but the novak is much better when it is running.
any help most appreciated cheers

Thats normal and i think there's no way of sorting it out
So just hold it up in the air when you plug her in!

i have this 'problem' with my gtb and dx3s, what i do is have the tx on for about 10 - 15 seconds then turn the car on. Seems to stop it.
