Default 13th April Surrey and Hants CAMPING

As their is no camping available on Saturday night who is up for camping?

As from a previous descussion I am going to book myself onto this campsite http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/de...asp?revid=4113

Just wondering if anyone else was up for a spot of camping???

Could be a good chance to chat and socalise before the start of the season and get to know some of our fellow racers away from the track.

So come on guys, fancy a few drinks before the season starts, sat around a camp fire????

Hotel for me too, for the first time in two years of Nats.

I'm all for camping when it's on site (or sleeping in my car) but I don't fancy having to get up, pack up and get to the track on the Sunday morning, I need my beauty sleep and to get my racing zen on.

Definitely camping from second round on though

You're just being tight on astroturf wear... it grows back if you water it, but i guess you lot dawwn Sarrrrf have permanent hosepipe bans!

It'd take more than a days practice to give me any advantage... but the new moulded in whale tail spoiler might need bedding in!

No problems matey, just needed to know whether it was worth booking a cheap room for friday night as well if you were open on the Saturday.

Fingers crossed for good weather and bring it on!

Yes matey,

most of us have never bothered but a few that have to travel further and camp night before take advantage of the option... i don't think it really effects results as there is plenty open track time whilst booking in happens to get used to track and test tyres etc

I was only asking about SHRCCC event as its the longest distance and first round of series so getting used to the trucks outdoors again would be nice

No problem. SHRCCC is my local, but I've hardly been round it, expecially with recent weather, and never with an SC.

Saturday practice isnt allowed in the other classes, as not everyone can make it and it's thought to be unfair.
I agree that the best will always rise to the top.
