NOT !

BUMMER.

Tamiya is killing us ! I'm starting to think it won't be for 2008 (if it's ever going to come). What better outing could they have than with their best offroad driver at the euro's where he actually can win.

Who are you refering to as the best Tamiya driver, Hupo or Satoshi??
Anyway, when Kyosho released their 2wd I heard many rumors at that time that Tamiya will follow.. I do think they will release one soon and may add a driver to team TRF.. I'll ask Hupo at the IIC race here in Vegas..
BTW: I did not here nothing about the 801XT until it was released

I heard a very unconfirmed rumour that the protoype TRF 2WD in Japan uses a tilted X-6 tranny and a new motor plate to place the motor closer to the rear axle compared to an X6.

would you release a car when you pretty much know your star driver will get thumped by neil. It was the track where he won his worlds title in 05 remember. Then total domination again this time

If you're after a Tamiya 2WD - buy a HotBodies D2 and put Tamiya shocks on it! Sorted. I hope Tamiya do make one and would expect them to - but with Tamiya you never know what mad direction they will go in next.

For the oldtimers among us : remember the Avante and Astute. Totally over-engeneered beauties.

Armed with hacksaw, electric drill and metal file, I decided to make use of the pile of broken DT02 and DF03 parts and came up with this mid-motor conversion,

That car looks amazing!!

I guess if your having trouble finding one, a Dyna Storm is pretty darn close.

Sadly not mine...
I know where to get one though.. just have to do a bit of sweet-talkin'..
The 211X never made it to the production-line.. only a concept-car.. based one the Dyna Storm

Yeah the Dynastorm was based on the Trf211x, That one is one of the first layouts, but the trf team revised it to a much more narrow one I think it was Johnny Pedersen who designed the chassis. After the Dynastorm there was another more evolved one that had a plastic Tub chassis version with different arms.

Here are some 211X pictures in my old TC showroom. (please let me know if you're not allowed to link to other websites!)

Unfortunately none of them are mine. I know there are a couple of 211X owners on TC though.

Those pictures are great! It looks like the early trf211x had madcap arms, a cf chassis and the superastute rear gearbox.

I think I have found a source where I can get the trf211 chassis plates.. so i might convert my dynastorm..
