The photos of the new equipment all look amazing, very professional.

Can't wait to see the finished car and I'm very interested to see how it runs with the 'modern' cars.

Default prototypes

Nice prototypes, looks amazing.

if there is any chance it would be great if all those parts can be bought in some of a kit-form ( one package deal) to upgrade the lazer zx-RR instantly with all the parts in one box.

Rather then buying all the parts separately... and searching all the parts and buying and paying for transport separately and if those parts are also available......

LAZER UPGRADE KIT version 1 and 2

hope someone can do this, hate to buy everything separately

and maybee 2 different kits:

version 1 : with all the carbon chassis plates from fiber-lyte; upper deck and main chassis plates and the 2 shock mounting plates)

and version 2 with the standard (FRP) chassis plates and shock mount plates.

this would be a never seen before and welcome thing.

but maybee too expensive to realise.

Anodizing is expensive in Canada as well, I got them all anodized from my supplier making these parts.

Let's wait for a little more while. After testing is finished then the launch begins.

Thank you again. As to see how it runs with the modern cars, we need Welshy to win some races with it! =)

You have to build one! If you don't have a stock one, Don't worry, every part of the new car can be found (except for the diff, which I should have a new version coming out soon) either from me or the web. There is no need to find an old one.

That's a great idea. I can make a est. amount of what everything cost and can work out something.

Yes there is, I just didn't show it on my previous post, but just to refresh your mind. Here it is:

I have a Lazer ZX here but its in very good condition, so I'd rather start building a whole new car. I will be keeping my eyes on this. Maybe I need to get some blue belts in advance to put aside

Don't worry about the blue belts, I have a new batch and they are heavy duty. I broke my wooden hockey stick trying to tear the belt. And there are no damage to the belt.

Thats what we have been aiming towards but does take time. Itll be worth the wait though, soon be testing once I get my hands on a front inner pivot block (alloy). First gearbox tests that oosh123 has based his designs on have been proven to work well, so far using just one kyosho belt I have not managed to break it even with a 4.5 in. The original rear gearbox is now a thing of the past.

Pics please. There were two varients of the zxs. Zxs was with a single one piece chassis and came with zxr hubs and castor blocks, different ujs and losi shocks. Diffs from a zxr. Also the servo had to be glued to the chassis which was a pain but this chassis was my preferred version as the evos cell layout made the car unstable, well for me anyway.

Zxs evo had a three piece chassis with kyosho shocks (based on the evolution shocks) and different hubs and different castor blocks which ended up on the original zx-5. Diffs from a zxr. Shock towers were different.

Both cars had yokomo style top camber links and cf plates. Protos had blue slipper plates, blue motor plate, blue motor heatsink, blue pivot plates, blue steering poles and centre chassis poles, also diffs were not like the zxr diffs and ujs were slightly different on some cars. Also shock towers were different from both models.

Guys,

I have worked out the price for the prototypes. Once they are finished testing, I will offer these parts to you all.

But be warn, they are not cheap. Prototypes are like one offs in manufacturing plants. Since I won't be ordering more than 20 pieces per part (because there are not enough people), my supplier can't gave me a price reduction. I expect most of you will think it's too expensive, but that's the best price I can get (I have been asking quotes for the past half a year to the darkest corners of China).

So, here are the prices (USD).

Front Gear Box (4 anodized aluminum, 2 CF pieces, 1 anodized aluminum sheet cover): $140

Upper Deck Mount (1 anodized rear upper deck mount, 4 middle upper deck mount posts): $90

Rear Gear Box (1 anodized aluminum base, 4 anodized aluminum cross bar, 4 spacers, 1 anodized aluminum rear tower mount, 1 anodized belt tension bearing holder, 2 CF side plates, 1 CF belt tensioner): $160

Layshaft (1 Stainless steel heat-treated shaft, 1 mod fixed pulley): $90

Motorplate (1 anodized aluminum motorplate with heat sink): $75

There is also a shipping cost of $55 from my supplier to my place. So, if there are more people ordering, The $55 can be shared amongs them.

Soon, I will have prices and pictures on my version of pivot blocks and my sealed ball diff.
