GOING OUT
From London Stansted (STN) to Graz (GRZ)
Thu, 13May10 Flight FR5732 Depart STN at 11:20 and arrive GRZ at 14:25
COMING BACK
From Graz (GRZ) to London Stansted (STN)
Mon, 17May10 Flight FR5733 Depart GRZ at 14:50 and arrive STN at 15:55

Just copied the confirmation email lol. Cheaper into Graz than Vienna, its around 100 mile drive then to Trieskirkham. Altogether its cost around £90 for return flights into there mate.

Hi!

Would like to know what's going on too.

This is what I have heared so far:
Proline doesn't make bowtie anymore. But they would have agreed to make a batch for the euro's, which you can buy from the local shop trackside.

Imo, that's plain stupid. The bowties are quite crappy anyway, and now we will use them as a control tyre even when they are not in production anymore. In theory people are not able to practise with them, as they are only available at the track when the euro's start (not many shops in belgium stock other offroad tyres than the ones used in our national series). Looks to me like the austrian local shop still has loads of bowties from the 2006 euros which it wants to get rid of :-)

All this can be easily solved by just using holeshot as the 2wd control tyre too. Makes life a lot easier, and for some a lot cheaper. For example I do 4wd only since I'm there anyway, but I mainly focus on 2WD. If 2wd and 4wd have the same tyres, this saves me lots of money on tyres as I can use the slightly worn ones from 2WD. If we have to run bowtie in 2wd I can simply toss them in the bin afwterwards, useless tyre.

Last euro's in finland, wasn't that also holeshot for 2wd and 4wd?

I hope many of you share my opinion of using holeshot for both classes, and can get the discussion going so we can get some decent info regarding this issue.

bye!

Goodmorning all...

Does anyone have any idea how the warm up will take place? This is my first event in Euro and I have no idea of what the schedule fro the 3 day event would be...I quess it will be something like: friday practise, saturday 2wd qual and finals and sunday just 4wd...am I right?

I talked to the guy that imports Proline to Greece and he said that there should be no problem getting some bowties...the price would be much better too! With all the new Proline tires coming out for the 1/10 it is stupid to use the bowties although I used a couple of times last year in the Greek championship with good results...but in my B44!

Agree!

I dont understand why proline didnt announce this before..? They must have known that bow-tie is going out of production a while, and therefor could informed Rmc-wien and efra about it before they decided to set bow-tie as control tire in 2wd.

But we Norwegians dont care that much, since bow-tie is used in some national races here :P

Jimmy

So, is there any photo of this track? the info site shows the old track from 2006 which isn't the one being used - so what's the deal?

How do you pay for the entry? Do you get confirmation at some point?

Ahh i just had a really bad flashback to 1999 - This track below is a modded layout but the same site as the 99 Euro's from Austria, that Track was awful!

24 hours of pain on a coach from the UK to Austria and then to be greeted by the state of the track in 1999. I almost cried, in fact I think some people did. It was one of the most 'random' tracks I've ever driven in my life.

If it's the same track then popping over for a practice will definitely be a good idea.

I saw some photos of the 2006 track looking really destroyed a while back - is that why we're not going back there? it was a really cool track.

I heard from someone who told someone that there isnt really a track there and it needs to be built for the warmup?
Does Hupo live nearby, maybe someone can ask him?
