Norfolk Buggy Club are also hosting the second round of the BRCA*East of England Regional Championship on the 16 April on our grass track.

I have had a number of emails and queries about racing at this event, so if you are interested please read the following:

To participate at this event you will need to book in by the Friday prior to the event - using the link above.

This event will be run to BRCA rules, and you must have a BRCA licence to compete.

All ages and abilities and welcome to race in a regional event.

You will need a transponder that is compatible with AMB RC4 timing - ie the latest MRT transponder or any AMB transponder.

Your batteries and motors must be present on a*BRCA Electric Board homologation list.

You will need to charge your batteries in a suitable LIPO bag.

You can participate in either or both the 2wd and 4wd class.

Your car must comply with the 1/10 electric off road rules as set by the BRCA. Assuming it's an off the shelf car you are running you only really need make sure that*- 2wd cars must weigh over 1474 grams and 4wd cars must weigh over 1588 grams.

You must use either*a*Schumacher Mini Spike, Ballistic Buggy Spike or Schumacher Dart tyre on the rear axle of a 4wd buggy, or the driven axle of a 2wd buggy. You can run what tire you like on the front of a 4wd buggy and on the none driven wheels of a 2wd buggy ie Schumacher Cut Stagger.

Despite pre-booking you must book in on the day with race control before 8:30am. If you do not prove you are there before 8:30 on the day you will not be able to race.

Practice will start in heat order at approximately 9am, followed by 4 rounds of qualifying and finals.

You must have your car scrutineered before it goes on track - as such make sure you are ready to race about 10 minutes before you are due to go on.

You will have to marshal*or find a BRCA affiliated member*to marshal for you after you have raced.*
