Now you say that i do remember tony mackman put this on the results..ben has been working hard on a new points sheet which is linked yo all.kinds of things and it is working well. It could be that when Tony first filled out the form on the web site he may have ticked the wrong box,so.i'll make sure we correct this... is he running the same for the rest of the season?

Ben, when it comes to seeding to the heats I take it it works from the standings table? so if you miss 1 round your dropped down the list and put in a lower heat?
Would it not make it fairer and more realistic to drop the one round when it comes to the heat seeding?

You're right the seedings are taken from the Championship table. The sheet reads who is entered, finds their championship score for that class and then sorts in ascending order. This is the admin bit. I then send that onto the Race Director and the rep. This is all a process without autonomy, so I can't be seen to influence anything. Once it gets to the RD and Rep, there is a clause whereby they can juggle as they see fit, but I will say it's really really admin heavy and that's why only one adjustment was made so far and that was because a driver physically couldn't marshal and a referee substitute was made. I agree with you. The only thing is how it's designed without being hideously admin heavy and keeping it fair. My plan has been to get the seedings working on an average, which I have set myself a deadline for this weekend. I think this will have the same effect as you suggest, but it will be slightly easier to codify. (I think) So the plan for the "most ridiculous spreadsheet in the world.xls" is for it Find the driver associated with the race entry Count up the scoring rounds, Divide the total points by that number and issue that as the seeding onto the race director sheet. This should equalise the drivers whilst being fair and true to the objectives set out.

It's done!
Whilst the changes were being made, I didn't want to update the driver listings until it was up and running properly. Now it is. So if you have entered to race in the last 3 or 4 days and you haven't been updated, you are now. Seeding now takes your average score from your counting rounds. This will have a VERY positive impact on the heat listings. It will make the racing even more enjoyable for all involved. It will make the referees job easier and there will be less cars being lapped in qualy.

It's that time of year when results are studied, heads are scratched and permutations are checked so......
Firstly - the championship table: CLICK Now the permutations. 2WD: Championship Contenders Danny Conway and Alec Springer Alec will be champ, unless: Danny Conway TQ and win. Without Danny and Alec taking TQ, Danny can still share top spot with Alec with an A final win 3rd Place Contenders: Mark Everitt, Jonathan Brown Mark Everitt =/> 3rd Jonathan Brown requires TQ and win, and Mark finishing no higher than 4th (which would also give Alec the championship) 4WD: Championship contenders: Rob York and John Myall John Myall needs a TQ and Win and Rob York to finish =/< 3rd 2nd Place contenders: John Myall and Ben Hubbard Ben needs TQ and Win and John =/< 4th. 3rd Place Contenders: Ben Hubbard, Dave Evans, Simon Miller Ben Finishes =/> 4 Dave Evans - TQ and Win (Ben =/< 5th) Simon Miller - TQ and Win (BenH =/< 6th)

"I'm not Watson" I said, to wit he replied, "no Simon's driving ability". That's right in less time than you can say Cumberbatch, JCB went from Conan Doyle to Conan the Barbarian with smack talk! And now for something true..... The Chump Cup. Whilst both contenders in both classes are saddled like a recently legalised couple in a new Divan, it's only the 4WD that counts. If Zipper can leave Chesty in the B or lower and head off to the A with a 4th he avoids the title of 2013 Chump. However, Chesty has gambled with a mid-season chassis change and will be looking to emulate the form he demonstrated in this Boughton Raceway/GhostRC Media production from 2012. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ugq-hen3rw Mr Evans, by all means stand on my car but be warned, as it takes off and you cling on for dear life, you will be in danger of seeing the fastest way round a track. Oh no you did-unt! Oh yes I did! I have just set up what is fast becoming known as the Donovan bump. (A climb to a dizzy height of confidence which precedes a monumental fall from a very fragile perch)
