Default are there any downsides to the Sanwa integrated antenna?

I'm looking for another sanwa RX, and i'm thoroughly confused by the sanwa offerings...

i'm not clear why i'd buy one over the other (accepting that i need it to run FH-4 modulation).

In particular, i've no idea why i might want the RX-472 which has a conventional antenna, or the RX-482 which has the integral antenna.

Are there any downsides of the integral antenna?

Thank you

the 482 supposedly has a shorter range over the 472, don't think it will affect most people but if the track is massive it might. I have both and see no difference in range but the tracks I race at are not too large.

I prefer the 482 so I don't need an aerial tube and its newer

I've used the 482 for the whole season of Nationals and never had an issue with range. The size (footprint of this is amazing. It may become an issue for large Nitro tracks such as Herts but in a Nitro space isn't really an issue so any receiver will do.

482 has been fine for me at herts, don't think I'd want to go much further though.

I've actually tested this at my local cricket field in a B5m and a Bmax4iii, 451 vs 481

Longest range was 451 with Ariel in traditional stand up antenna tube, range so good I could barely see car.

451 with antenna tube bent under shell is very similar to 481 range...not as far as above, but far enough that I don't think you'd worry on any proper track. HTH
