Hi, Does anyone know if a standard Savox servo (SC-1258) will fit my soon to arrive DB1 or do I need a low profile servo?

Hello guys,
I have a question...let's say that someone is not already a Kyosho owner and wants to run a DB1...is there a Kyosho parts list in order to complete the car? Cheers!

Hi guys, just finished building my db01 ran it last nite on a wet track at Surrey and hants ,the car out of the box was the best car I have ever driven the balance of it is out of this world, looking forward to this Sundays regional at herts now.
Well done to Tony and Dave for making a great car Chris |

I've had mine running for around 2 hours or so in total, almost each time going out with a setup tweak and I keep going back to what Kev tells me he's running as a standard starting point. Definitely a good base to start with for anybody starting with the car.
One thing, on a 1/8th rally cross track, is that I'm missing the plushness and bump handling of a big bore equiped car ... the work starts now Overall though a really nice car to drive, almost 'arrive and drive' setup and no 2wd car I've driven before is as fast through high speed / high grip sections in particular. |

What a brilliant car, goes where pointed; if you push too hard it just runs a bit wide; loads of steering but also massive froward traction.
I'm VERY happy with mine! |

Well, after some months running the car and a few racing I have to say it will be very hard to come with a better car for our Euro tracks, and I try almost all of them. You can't beat it's traction, especially on astro/carpet tracks.
Very reliable too. So like Roger I'm very happy with mine, wouldn't want to run anything else. Big up Mr Burton, Tony and the team |

DB1 Front / Rear Weight Distribution?
Any idea anyone, looks like this 2wd has the most weight over the front yet?

Slightly more than some but depending on your electronics install it's not far removed from the norm.
The weight distribution is one thing, the dynamics something else Until you've tried one you won't know why we all think its so good! |

Are you guys running the full RB5 WC front end and the standard FS2 rear end?
Thanks

I think most use a WC front and a FS2SP as intended but it will work with an SP2 front and FS2 rear too.

Having tried both back to back I personally prefer the car with the um522 driveshafts from the fs2 rear end. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the FS2-SP rear end just that the extra natural rotation generated by the extra driveshaft plunge makes the car suit my style better. If you have the um522 shafts give it a try, you might just like it.

I will Roger !
Just put the 522 in without the shim ? I may be wrong but I've read somewhere the new lightweight diff outdrives needs those to work properly. |

The will probably need an axle shim but not any form of 'spacer', I normally put the shim between drive pin and outer bearing

I saw NCG arms (LAW43) on the prototypes. Why didn't you kept them? Bad handling? Not enough rotation? I'm curious

The car is more stable with the shocks on the rear, hence we don't often use them.
