Have you guys released the dates for your winter series yet? Planning my winter calendar.

Cheers

Were only running outdoors this winter pal. Dates not yet set but will be done soon. Going to be about ten dates throughout winter.

Winter snowman series (sundays) will be outdoors yes. Dates are nearly done and will be posted very soon.

If you mean the normal club nights then next Friday is the last one and we move back indoors on Saturday nights in a couple of weeks.

I'm surprised were not considering an indoor winter series as this year a lot of the other indoor winter series have gone by the wayside. I for one will miss the indoor Sunday's. Being outside is all good with nice weather but if it's cold/wet I can't see many people going for it.

Word. We canned the indoor because feedback from club members was to run outdoors instead. I know circumstances have changed now with Bridgford being shut but the same problems remain for us with having to get enough people so as not to loose the club money and also its alot of work for the few that setup and pack up.

Still running the xmas cracker though.

Shame, I really enjoyed the indoor meetings.

Outdoor is great, but as I am travelling about an hour it makes it a big risk if the weather turns and it gets cancelled etc..

They started off quite full Bondy but it dropped off towards the end with only about 30 to 40 people at the last 2 rounds.

Even if we got enough numbers is still doesnt solve the problem that we simply dont have enough people who are prepared to commit to helping setup and packup and run the meetings each time. I think everyone enjoys the indoors meetings and wants to keep them now theres no Bridgford or Silverstone but if no ones prepared to commit to help then we simply cant run them. A shame really but thats how it goes. Nothing we can do about it really.

Default Indoors

Will you still be running the saturday club night? If so cant the track, or at least the carpet be left down over night ready for sunday?
Im in a similar situation as x313, its a good 3 quarters of an hour run for me, its to much of a risk to come all that way & get rained off.
Its a shame, I think Broxtowe had the best indoor winter series in the midlands!

As long as your dates don't clash with any other winter series I'm planning on doing I'll be coming along and I'll drag the posse along too. It's been years since I've been to Broxstowe for the old Badger and Snowman series on the old track before it went over to the dark side (touring cars). Looking forward to finally getting to the new track and having a blast.

Let's see them dates Dan

Hi Dan, just to clarify West Bridgford will not be shut, we are at the usual school for 7 weeks (from 2nd Sept to 14th Oct)

Then unless things turn out different we will be racing at Toot hill school leisure centre in Bingham. just waiting final conformation..

Dave

I didnt mean the friday night Dave. Just the Sunday series. Will this still be happening? If so do you have any provisional dates you can send me so we can try avoid clashing as I know alot of our members would like to come to your sunday series?

Awsome Alec! Dates are nearly done and there is 10 of them! Why not come up this weekend for our Sat/Sun Club champs meeting. Free camping Friday and Sat night. Club meeting Friday night, Practice and 3 rounds of qualifying all day Saturday and qualifying and 3 leg finals on the Sunday!
