Default Ideas for new Jumps

All,

I think as a club we are at a point we need some new features with the jumps looking a bit tired. I’ve drawn two new designs for ramps to get the discussion flowing and to see if any one else has any good ideas. See what you thing, just so you know I’ve drawn them free hand using Word so please excuse the proportion/scale as they may not be completely accurate. So, no comments like “did your 3 year old draw these”.

I want to get these build ASAP and defiantly ready for the Christmas Race on the 18th of December where I’m planning to make the track a bit more extreme.

I like the cheese ramp is it deigned so the younger drivers could just drive over it rather than fly over it ?
The 2nd ramp looks like the fly over now but without the underpass would this not just be the same as we have but restrict track designs

If you need any help let me know im not bad with a hammer

first ones a no from me looks too difficult and could be a car breaker but the second one is ok though easy to put up and take down i have a idea like the one at worksop in front of the rostrum i think its a jump onto a small tabletop then a half pipe in the middle then another jump with a tabletop the other end and maybe short enough to clear in one go for them that are brave enough and if not or you get it wrong the the halfpipe will come into action if you see what i mean anyway just a idea and space permitting of course

They both look good, I'd say the first doesn't need to be very high if it has a kick up ramp, as you can get a little too much air.

Anything that resembles this track, which must be the best looking indoor offroad track I've ever seen:

The suggestions made so far just serve to slow us down and keep marshals busy.

Fast and flowing is best.

I think the main thing to remember, and can be seen on this track is UP ramps, and DOWN ramps. A ramp landing on flat does nothing for the flow of a track.

One very important factor when considering any jumps or features is how easy they are to both get out and put away. I agree that the ramps in the clip from 200sx's post are fantastic but they are on the large size and would need more than 1 or 2 people to move some of them.
Maybe if we all chipped in with design, building and making use of them then as a club, we could make best use of the facilities we have and some of the skills us lot have in our normal lives and bring them to the club with us.
