Default Set ups!

Seeing as i was bored of always seeing the subject (software issues) on the losi forum i thought id start this one that i'll try and keep updated.

Its basically the setup thats i have been using and the ones that i will be trying out.

Im thinking to start with i'll put up my Worksop setup that has worked really well for the last 12 months. The second will be what i ran last season outside. I'd also like to see other people with losi to put up theres so we can all have a look and discuss! I think it will help us all, myself included obviously. Just copy and paste mine and fill in your bits instead.

Danny what tyres would you run with those setups for the 2wd?

Does your motor choice and gearing vary much on the 2wd?

Ride heights?

I've just bought myself a CR and hit the comeback trail after a few years away from racing so I'm trying to soak up as much advice as possible for the 'new' car.
The last 2wd I owned was a BK2 hybrid but I didn't run that one much. Before that I'd run every Losi 2wd since the XX was released - oh the joy of filling hydra drives with fluid

Ran the CR at stotfold today in slippy conditions and ended up on the below once i had figured out how to drive an electric car again

Front

Spring - green
Oil - 30w
Piston - 55
Shock Tower Position - 2
Wishbone Position - inside
VLA - short
Camber Link - 2 B 3 washers under link
30 degree caster as std - tried 25 degree buut 30 better
30g on top of bulk head
Front Losi standard wing
Thin losi front roll bar - Stops so much body roll in corner

Rear

Spring - yellow
Oil - 30
Piston - 56
Shock Tower Position - 2
Wishbone Position - inside - gave much more drive for the slippy conditions
VLA - SHORT
2 degree anti squat
Camber Link - 2 B 3 washers under link on hub
Wheelbase - Short
losi steel drive shafts
Wide losi wing full gurney

Others
battery's - middle foam at the front and rear of Batts
Motor 6.5t Losi 25/78
Tyres - Sch Mini spike green
Speedo - Xcelorin
servo - short Ko 40g weight behind

car was good, would only run rear shocks on inside hole on the wishbone when car is lacking drive

No idea what the overall weight is. i have 30g's in the battery strap, 15 in the rear bulkhead, the brass bulkhead and then an addition 10 g's up front.

So add those all up and thats pretty much your answer.

I am going to try more weight for the next nat, as it seemed to work for the x factory guys!

Default xx4

We are about to get the XX4 out for a try at RHR, hasn't been run for some time. What gearing for a losi 6.5 brushless with cells. I assume the set up will be as of old. I see Danny and others are using XXCR wishbones and hubs. What are the handling benefits over the XX4we ones.
