Talking RC12 5.1 with lipo conversion

Just picked up an rc12 5.1 with lipo conversion added and was wondering where people started with set up?

I'll be running 10.5 blinky... Helps and hints muchly appreciated

Avoid using .018 AE front springs, they are too soft for most people to drive. Stick to 0.020 AE front springs with those set-ups.

On the Olly Jefferies ones they use rear pivot balls cut down 0.6mm all round and a modified rear pivot. You can't buy those so the rest of the set up might make a standard car a bit weird in the handling department! Also, the US guys run 10deg front castor blocks and that is a no-no with UK additives.

I'd recommend starting with the Keven Hebert setup (Snowbirds) using 5deg front blocks and no spacers between the bulkhead and the castor block (short wishbone). Worked really well for me on my 5.1. HTH
