Cheers John, all three claim to be OTG compatible.. the tablet is making a noise to suggest it recognises something has been plugged in, but the software doesn't recognise it....

This is the one I got that worked http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...ilpage_o03_s00

I've been using a HTC ONE M7, before I got that lead it just went to demo mode like yours is, don't think it was making any noises though.

When you plug in your Hotwire to the device, does the app launch or request to launch when the Hotwire is plugged in?

Note that any esc you're using with the mobile app MUST be running the most current software available for that unit in order for the app to recognize the esc.

Ie; RSX, RS Gen2, RS Gen2 Spec all are running 250.

Question RX8 Gen2

Looking a starting set for my son for the above esc, running a T8G2 1900 motor in a Kyosho MP9E. Track is dirt, med to low grip, large and small jumps with a long straight (approx 30-35m). Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi H0m3sy,

I'm judging that's BADMCC from the picture? If your there this coming weekend I could help you get it set to his liking for you as I will be there for the weekend.

Cheers Randy, it doesn't launch anything, just makes a noise to suggest its connected to something.

The esc is a brand new Gen2 RX8..

So bought another lead for the tablet and a couple of new mini usb adapters, still no joy.

Also tried a Surface tablet, but it wouldn't launch the tekin apps..

Well and truly snookered, wondering if the hotwire is dodgy..?

Just a heads up. I've just bought a Tekin RSX and a hot wire and down loaded both the PC and app. I can get the PC to work but could not get the app to work on my Sony Z5!

After a lot of messing about I found the if I connect the speedo to my phone, I get the connected sound. But I have to go into the phones settings to search for USB connections, it then 'sees' the speedo and fires up the app!

SORTED!

I hope this might help as I was really struggling to get it to work.....

This also might be the reason that the adaptors says they are OK, as they are! Its just the phone/tablet needs to be given a gentle nudge in the right direction.

Pete

Default Tekin Rsx gen 2 need set up help

Hi I have the Rsx gen 2 with a reedy sonic 6.5 and I'm not sure on what's causing an issue, if I run the Rsx in sensor only the motor does not like low rpm IE the revs jump all over the place I've checked the sensor with the onboard LEDs on the esc and they seem to light as they should now if I run in dual it seem much better, now do I have a motor issue or is this normal. Please help before I buy a new one..

You can go as low as 1k on both if I'm not mistaken.

There is some encryption and "math" involved here as well.

Default RSX Low BEC Voltage

Hi Team Tekin

I have an RSX that when the BEC voltage is set with hotwire to 7.4v when read by the Telemetry on my radio reads 6-6.4v.

I tested the output with a voltmeter just to be sure and indeed the BEC is at 6.4v.

When the BEC changed to 6.0v then the setting changes to reflect 6.0v.

Any ideas what is causing this? has anyone else had the same problem?

Thanks!

Hi guys, I have just upgraded my RSX to v255. From my point of view one of the most important feature is to be capable to change your brake/drive freq.

I have noticed that when you set for example your drive freq to 8Kz with the hotwire, and then you change your TP with the Esc buttons, it resets your drive freq to the original value that comes with v255.

This means that each time you change your TP value in the esc, you need to connect your hotwire again if you want keeping your drive/brake freq at the value you wanted....

Have you experienced the same?, it is something to be fixed by Tekin for the next versions.
