Default Servicing an SX2

Hi All

Just bought a used SX2 (thanks Rodrego) and am going to strip it down and rebuild. Obvious items are balls and belts, what else do people recomend I replace on the rebuild please?

Good call on the slipper, I will check any parts for damage as I strip down and replace as necessary. Mainly looking for things that may wear and not be totally obvious.

The bearings all the way through the car should be changed. If your budget is tight do the layshaft bearings and hub bearings.
Belt pulleys are worth checking for wear as well.
At an outside bet also have a look at ball cups and ball joints.
The slipper assembly for me was always a little fragile and the pads can glaze over easily if not set properly

Cool, will add bearings to the shopping list and check the ball cups. Thanks again.
