Default Xray t2 09 Rebuild Help

I am trying to rebuild an Xray T2 2009 the problem i am having is with the top deck supplied with the car. The motor bulk heads have to be on the furthest point forward to make the top deck fit but this results in front belt to lose and rear belt to tight, if i move it back to the furthest back position this then makes the top deck to short but the belts fit, i have 3 different size belts for front and rear, has anyone ever come across this and know what i maybe doing wrong, thanks

the 2009 had 34t pulleys and 20t centre so the belts were (507 and 183)different to the 2008 (38t pulleys and 16t centre) and T3 (38t pulleys and 20t centre), there was a conversion to 38t pulleys which would give the standard belt sizes used today (513 and 189)

There was also a motor forward conversion with belts 501 and 198

you may struggle to get the top deck pieces now but you can fit a T3 12 top deck with a little filing and drilling of 2 holes as I did to mine to give more flex.

The T2009 manual to download in case you don't have it is here - https://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/sh...p?file_id=4904

See page 12 for how to adjust belt tension, you will also be able to get the correct part numbers for the belts you need, they should still be available to buy from the UK Xray distributor - www.rcdisco.com

Hope this helps

It sound like your car has got the forward motor conversion on it, which I've got on my car.
More info here: http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/pro...tor%20Position
Instructions here: http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/sho...p?file_id=5304

You'll need to use the 38t diff and spool pulleys, (305433) 3x501mm front belt and (305445) 3x198mm rear belt.

Feel free to ask any questions, I've still got my car and manuals so I can check anything you need to know
