Bantam BC6 Saddle Pack Charging
With risk of sounding stupid !!!!
I've gotta Bantum BC6 charger and i've always used it to charge stick pack lipo's with the 2mm balance lead. I've now got Orion Saddle Pack 5500 which has not got the 2mm balance port. Is there any way I can mod the lead I have or is there another lead I can buy ? Pics would be great of what people use. I have looked at other leads availiable and looks like a lot of the Trakpower leads are discontinued ?? This is the lead I,ve got : |

no pics but the 2mm connector that goes in the balance port on a stick pack is just wired to bridging wire on saddles(small wire that connects the two saddles)

Easy chap !
Start with the 4mm Red Positive plug from the charger, plug this into Positive on one of the saddles Now the 4mm Black Negative plug from the charger, plug this into the Negative on the second saddle Now you need a link lead, made out of 2 x 4mm Correlly Bullets and a 2mm Female Connector and a small piece of 12awg wire. Solder the two 4mm's on each side of the 12awg wire, half way up the wire bare a little wire and solder the female 2mm on and heatshrink all bare wire. Now with the complete link lead, use the two 4mm plugs and connect to the two saddle's, one Negative and the other being Positive terminal of the Saddles. The final 2mm Connector from the charger connect to the link lead 2mm Female Connector. Hay Presto, Press Balance Charge on your charger. Hope I've explained myself clearly. |
