Future of the club?
I was just wondering whether anything has been decided about the future of the Bury club? I remember seeing posts saying there was due to be a committee meeting a few weeks ago but have read nothing since.
I am not a member of the Bury club and have only raced there in the NW regionals but I think it would be a great shame if the club were to fold. |

Obviously I'm not local but I feel I have to say it was always one of my fav tracks on the national scene.
I hope it will be there for many years to come. |

No one wants the club to close, but a club will only keep running if:
1) There are enough racers regularly attending so it can afford to keep going. 2) There are enough people prepared to commit time to organising it, which is usually dependent on 1. Usually the people involved in running r/c clubs are happy to do so, as long as they have the support of the racers. The best way to help Bury Metro keep going is to turn up regularly at the club meets and volunteering when they ask for help, the quickest way to close the club would be for no one to bother racing at their local club meetings.
